Our Speakers

Sergeant Kyle Benner has 20 years of experience in law enforcement and spent ten years in covert/undercover operations. He is the prior commander of the Santa Clara County Human Trafficking Task Force.

Sergeant Shannon Catalano has 14 years of experience with Santa Clara Sheriff’s Office as investigator in the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit, Cold Case Unit and currently the Detective Sergeant in the Human Trafficking Unit. Shannon.Catalano@shf.sccgov.org

Detective Chris Tolbertson is currently assigned as a Task Force Officer with the FBI Safe Streets Unit and previously assigned to the LEIHT (Law Enforcement to Investigate Human Trafficking) Task Force for 3 years.

Teyanna M. is HT Survivor, successful client of the YWCA of Monterey County, CSN Graduate, A.S. Advocate & Speaker

Erika Trejo is the Director of Community Programs at the YWCA of Monterey County where she focuses on community outreach and prevention work throughout Monterey County for IPV and HT victims.

Martamaria Rosado is currently a Victim Advocate with the Victim’s Unit at the District Attorney’s Office and formerly with the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center. Over the last 10 years she has assisted survivors of mass victimization, adult and child sexual abuse, human trafficking and child sexual exploitation.
